Almost finished!

It seems like these socks have been hanging around almost finished forever! I started them as part of the Trek Along with Me KAL. I did very little trekking, so I did very little knitting. I decided that I wanted to finish them, even if I didn't trek, so I just pulled them out and finished them off. I used a chevron pattern from Sensational Knitted Socks. As you can see, I still have not kitchnered the toes - I really hate that part! The only thing that I dislike more is the star toe - it just doesn't fit my foot in a comfortable way! These will be finished this week, though. I am determined to get them done!

Purple Socks

These socks were made using the Harebell lace pattern from Sensational Knitted Socks. The yarn is Trekking XXL. I love this colorway because of the way the yarn is stranded - each strand is a different color, and only one color changes at a time, so the color changes are more subtle.

I don't usually follow the pattern exactly. I know about how many stitches I need for a comfy sock, and I make the heel with about 50% of the stitches. I really like the eye of the partidge heel, and that is what I usually use. The pattern for this heel is also in SKS. I wore these socks to work on Monday. They kept my feet toasty warm :)

Natural Dye Studios Sock Club

I've ordered yarn from the Natural Dye Studios before, and it was lovely! The colors are beautiful, and the owner, Amanda, is always so nice and friendly! So when I saw that she had a sock club, I signed up right away. The mailman brought me a puffy postmarked from the UK ... could it be??

TRHM said "Smells like yarn! Soft and squishy, too. Must be yarn."

As usual, he was right! It is a yummy red blend, but not a color I would normally choose.

I *heart* the way it is knitting up! These might be my best socks ever!
